The WPO is the only Elite/Pro level Powerlifting Organization that has one focus, World Class Multiply Powerlifting. THAT’S ALL WE DO!

The WPO is an invite only event in which a qualifying coefficient requirement must be meet for consideration.

THE FORMAT:

The WPO is a professional equipped powerlifting league comprised of an annual 2 round playoff season.  Each season begins with an invitational field of 30 men and 30 women in a round of      Semi-Finals.  The top 15 placing men and top 15 placing women advance on to the annual Super Finals. The top placing man and woman at the Super Finals win the WPO champion title and coveted Championship Series Belt.

ROSTER:

The WPO roster is chosen from the top qualified equipped lifters in the world. Lifters can qualify for consideration by completing at any APF/WPC affiliated sanctioned meet.

The WPO reserves the right to select from the top available single-ply and raw competitors. To date, we’ve received interest and commitments from some of the top raw and single-ply world champions for the 2020 Semi-Finals.

Scoring:

The WPO is scored using a coefficient score known as the Glossbrenner. The Glossbrenner is a sophisticated metric that rates a lifter’s performance relative to their bodyweight. This allows lifters across different weight classes to compete head to head, and creates a more intense and deeper field of competition.
