WPO-PRO is an invitation-driven platform designed for elite multi-ply lifters competing at the highest professional standard. Participation is not open entry. Athletes earn consideration through verified performance, consistency, and demonstrated readiness for professional competition.

Qualification Criteria

Qualification pathways create a standard for consideration. They do not create automatic entry. Every invitation is reviewed against performance, division fit, athlete readiness, and the integrity of the WPO-PRO platform.

Athletes may earn invitation consideration through recognized WPO-PRO performance, yearly multi-ply rankings, APO Nationals recognition, APO Nationals performance standards, or independently verified international results.

Athletes may earn invitation consideration through one or more of the following pathways.

Top Finish

Top three finishers at a WPO-PRO event may earn invitation consideration for future WPO-PRO competition.

Top 3 finishers WPO-PRO event

Yearly Ranking

Performance Ranking

Top 30 ranked multi-ply lifters for the qualifying year across all federations, as verified by OpenPowerlifting using the Glossbrenner coefficient.

Top 30 ranking Men: 550 minimum Women: 450 minimum

APO Nationals

Best Lifter Recognition

Best Lifter recognition for men and women at APO Nationals, as determined by the Glossbrenner coefficient, may earn WPO-PRO invitation consideration.

Performance Standard

Any lifter achieving the required Glossbrenner performance standard at APO Nationals may earn invitation consideration.

Men: 600+ Women: 550+

International Athletes

International athletes may be considered for WPO-PRO invitation based on verified performance at recognized professional or national-level competitions.

Comparable Performance

Performances must be independently verifiable and comparable to WPO-PRO qualification standards.

Invitation consideration for international athletes follows the same principles of performance, consistency, and readiness applied across WPO-PRO divisions and events.

Invitation Timing & Fill Process

The invitation process is structured to preserve competitive standards while allowing verified performance to fill unconfirmed positions when appropriate.

Yearly Ranking Cutoff The cutoff for invitations based on yearly ranking lists occurs one week before APO Nationals.

APO Nationals Review APO Nationals results may be reviewed through Best Lifter recognition and defined Glossbrenner performance standards.

Unconfirmed Invitations Any unconfirmed invitations may be filled using verified Glossbrenner scores achieved at APO-sanctioned events.

Final Invitation Decisions Final invitation decisions are made to preserve platform standards, athlete readiness, and competitive integrity.

Earning consideration is not the same thing as receiving an invitation. WPO-PRO remains a reviewed, invitation-specific platform.

Meeting a qualification pathway does not guarantee an invitation.

Invitations are issued for specific divisions and specific WPO-PRO events and do not constitute open or ongoing professional eligibility.

Final invitation decisions are made to preserve platform standards, athlete readiness, and competitive integrity.
